The educational use of YouTube intensified during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in mathematics, given the challenges posed by its abstract language. This study aimed to analyze the influence of YouTube videos on mathematics teaching and learning processes based on literature published between 2015 and 2022. A systematic review was conducted using EBSCO, Google Scholar, SciELO, and ERIC, following the PRISMA 2020 flowchart; out of 98 initial records, 20 studies were selected for qualitative synthesis. The results show that 50% of the studies address the video as a learning tool, 40% focus on the teacher's role in creating and selecting videos, and 10% examine the historical context and the pandemic. The discussion highlights that videos enable students to learn at their own pace, review content, and increase their interest in mathematics; however, their effectiveness depends on teacher mediation, material quality, and access to devices and the internet. The study concludes that while YouTube is a valuable complement to mathematics instruction, it does not replace the teacher and necessitates the strengthening of digital competence and the reduction of the access gap.
